+ How long does the Initial Family Meeting take and what do I bring?
An Initial Family Meeting usually takes between 1-2 hours. Prior to our meeting, we will send you our intake form to help us learn more about your child, your routines and your family's priorities for Occupational Therapy services. You are also encouraged to bring along any existing reports from other health professionals including diagnostic reports, school and/or childcare reports.
+ Will I receive a written report after the assessment
Following your child’s assessment, a written Therapy Support Plan (TSP) will be developed in collaboration with your family. This plan reflects the goals you and your Occupational Therapist have identified togther, along with relevant assessment information and insights gathered during the Initial Family Meeting. It provides a shared understanding of your child's support needs and outlines the focus areas for therapy moving forward.
A written TSP is optional for privately paying clients.
+ Do I need a formal diagnosis to access services?
Your child does not require a formal diagnosis to access our services. Contact us and we will send you an application form. Just complete the application form giving as much detail as possible about your child’s abilities and support requirements.
+ How do I make an appointment?
You can contact us by phone, email or by submitting an enquiry here.
We are also on Facebook and Instagram.
+ How long are therapy sessions?
A standard therapy session is 60 minutes. The duration of your child’s therapy session can be adjusted depending on your family’s preferences and the frequency of your child’s therapy.
+ How am I involved in therapy?
Families and carers are key in therapy and included every step of the way, as it is important for your child to be encouraged, supported and their progress recognised. You are welcome in all sessions, and we set goals and develop programs together for your child to be supported at home and school. We encourage childcare, preschool and school teachers to be kept up-to-date and to participate in therapy goals.
+ What funding do you accept?
Services can be accessed by NDIS self-managed or plan-managed clients and by private clients through Medicare or private health funds.
